This is amazing!!! Maybe you could have added some shadow... :) I play violin, and I joined this app to look at all of the art and by far yours is one of the best! I have nothing else to say, so I am just going to try to fill up the 100 word minimum. I hope you don't think that I am stupid and immature for this. I just don't like to type a lot on critiques so I do not have any chance of offending anyone. Do you play violin too? It is a great instrument! Great picture again!!! :D

First of all, this really made me squeal. I never get tired of seeing string instruments photographed/drawn/represented in art. This, however, is quite unique because of the wonderful colors you use. You made everything blend in incredibly well for the most part (there are a few patches of yellow or other colors, but I think they look fine). Although the violin is extremely bright and has an abundance of different shades, it works very well. Nothing sticks out color-wise, even though you use the entire rainbow.

I also love the warm browns you chose in the background... it is very effective and gives a good sense of contrast. You might have amplified the contrast even more by giving shading between the violin and the music note background... this would also give a better sense of three-dimensionality and background/foreground distinction. Shading could also have been utilized with the strings to give them a little bit more emphasis and clarity.

You've got a wonderful sense of shape. The violin's structure is flawless and the curves all flow very naturally. The top might be a little big(?) but if it is, it does not really detract from the piece.
